Maggie Moosie has an adventure

OOOOHHHH!!! Mom is mad. I don't care! I am just happy to be back nice and safe in my house again. My human brother Jacob came by this morning. Mom did not know he had left the gate open when she let us out. We all kind of stood there and looked at that open gate. Hershey & Chewy ran out the gate and I was not to sure about this, but I followed them. Jenny was scared and stayed in the back yard.

I was excited to see new things, but was worried I would not find my way home, even as I ran around smelling all sorts of new smells. Then I heard mom calling me and boy, was I happy see her. I run back home. I thought Hershey was a slow old lady, but she sure ran fast when she heard mom. Chewy beat everyone home. We are now lying all over the floor of her office and mom is putting a lock on the back gate.

While I was being bad today I noticed those big things you ride in to go to the vet were moving up and down the street. I have never seen them like that before and they kind of scared me. I had crossed the street and when mom called I had to cross again to get home. I was hoping none of those big things would get close to me.

Mom told us we were lucky because cars can kill a dog. Mom told Hershey she should know better because Hershey followed dad one day when he was working in the yard. Then dad crossed the street and Hershey followed him. Problem is Hershey decided to go home by herself. We live in a curve in the road. A little car came around the corner real fast and ran over Hershey’s paw. Ouch! Hershey had to go to the Doggie Doctor, but it got better. I bet that hurt!

Cars must be the big things. Okay mom, but if cars kill dogs why do you make me ride in one when I go see the doggie doctor? I am confused. Jenny told me the reason she did not run out the gate is because she was afraid of the guy from the pound getting her again. Jenny was rescued from the pound and she did not like it there. I don't think I would like it either!
