Maggie Moosie and gang dig a hole!

Hey, it is my human brother Matt, who is the youngest of my 5 human brothers. Did you bring Reload? I really like my nephew. He is such a cool pup. Yes! Matt is training Reload to retrieve ducks and he is very good at that. Reload is good at something else. Eating! That pup is a chow hound.

Hey Matt, what you doing with those shovels? Digging holes! Oh Boy! Can I help? We can all help. We love to dig holes. Start here guys. Look Matt marked where we are supposed to dig with a string. We get to dig all across the yard.

Whew! We are all pooped and our paws are all dirty, but that long hole is all finished. It took all day and the sun is going down. Let’s go in the house and take a nap. A snack would be good right now, mom. We worked up big appetite. What’s for dinner?

A new day! Let’s go out and play. Open the door Mom. We are all ready for a easy day or playing and napping. What happened? Who put all that dirt back in the hole? Okay guys, let’s take care of this. Start digging. At least it is easier this time. All the dirt is loose. This should not take long at all. Hey, what is this at the bottom of the hole?

Matt should be very happy we helped again. ...Yikes! What happened. Matt just got here and he is yelling at us about the dirt we took back out of the holes. He called us "stupid dogs". We were just trying to help. Did we do something wrong? Sometimes I do not understand humans!

Turns out Matt was putting something in that long hole for dad and then put the dirt back in himself. We are sorry, Matt. Come on guys. Lets help Matt put that dirt back in the hole. Hop to it guys. Done! By the way Matt, it is not nice to call someone names, even when they make a mistake. You’re sorry! Awww! Okay then, we still love you!

Maggie Moosie finds a kitty.

It is such a beautiful day outside. I think I am going to take a nap in the shade. I played with Hershey, Jenny & Chewy all morning. Time to snooze. Everybody get you favorite spot. Aawwww!

Hey, what was that? I hear a cat crying, I hope it is okay. I know that is not Katzilla. For being such a big black cat, he has a real soft tiny meow. It can’t be Fatty Cat. She is a house cat and never comes outside.

Wait a minute! Oh my gosh! It is Fatty Cat. How did you get out? Oh, it is okay. I will take care of you. Wait, I will get mom. Mom (bark), MOM (BARK), MOM (BARK)!
Heck, mom does not hear me or she just thinks I am barking at someone walking by.

Come on kitty. Don’t worry. I won’t let anything hurt you. Back up guys! You’re scaring her. I know you would not hurt her, but she is afraid right now. We will just lay down right here and take a little nap until mom comes outside. Snuggle close now. There you go.

Hey, I like that sound you are making. Is that what they call “purring”? It is kind of nice. Mom said cats purr when they are happy. Now what are you doing? Why are you pumping my side with your paws. Kind of weird, but okay! Whatever makes you feel good.

MOM! Hey mom, look who I found. I don’t know how she got out, but I kept her safe. She was scared, so I stayed with her and now everything is alright. Okay kitty, Mom has you now, so you should be real happy now.

Look mom, Fatty Cat is doing that same thing on your shoulder. What do you mean, “making biscuit’s“? You make biscuits in the oven for breakfast. Oh, that is just what they call it. Okay!. I sure didn’t see anything to eat, but speaking of food, how about a snack? Yes!

Maggie Moosie meets a duck!

No fair! Mom said she stopped at the park today, between appointments and took pictures of the baby ducks. Hey! I like ducks, too mom. Okay, I know it is my fault. I promised not to do it again.

Last time we went to the park I was so excited. There were lots of people and all kinds of animals around. Mom had put my harness on and said we were going to take a walk around the lake and enjoy the day. It was great. All kinds of new smells. I was getting very excited.

We walked on the path. Everything was so pretty. Then I saw it. A great big white duck waddling across the path. I think he was going to take a nap in the sun. I wanted to go meet this fellow and say, Hello!

I jerked forward and the lease snapped out of mom’s hand. I took off at a full gallop. That duck must have heard me coming. He turned to look and took off back the way he came. I was right behind him. The duck was flapping his wings as he got to the edge of the lake. I was right on his tail, but he skimmed over the water and I landed with a big splash.

Water came up over my head and I started dog paddling as fast as I could. I came to the top just in time to hear that dumb duck quacking at me. I know he was laughing. Stupid duck. I turned to swim back to shore that that is when I saw mom and knew I was in trouble.

I swam to shore and managed to pull myself up on the shore. It was not easy because it was a drop off to the water, but I did it. Got out and shook the water off. OPPPS! Sorry Mom! I forgot you were standing there. I am so in trouble.

Oh Oh! Now what? I am all wet and dripping and now I have to get back in the car. Sorry about the mess in the car, Mom. I am dripping all over the leather seats. I promise never to do it again! Shucks! Dumb duck!!!

Maggie Mossie learns about Heaven

My mom has been real sad this last year. You see, my Uncle Raymond went to Heaven almost a year ago. He was mom’s brother and I really liked him a lot. When he came to visit, he always had time to talk to me and the rest of moms’ zoo. Raymond was always good for several ear rubs a visit.

Mom said Uncle Raymond was very sick for so long, he decided to go to heaven. I don’t know where Heaven is, but I wish Uncle Raymond could come for a visit. We all miss him, but mom said Uncle Raymond is happy there, so I am happy for him. It is no fun being sick all the time.

Uncle Raymond had a little dog, I guess you could call him my cousin. His name is Tupaki. Tupaki is a cute little guy, black with brown markings, part daushound and part Chihuahua . He used to live with my Uncle Raymond and misses him a whole lot. Tupaki wished Uncle Raymond would come back, but since he went to heaven and is happy there, Tupaki had to find a new home.

Right after Uncle Raymond went to heaven, Tupaki went to lives with Grandma & Grandpa. They like little dogs. He really likes it, but I know he still misses Uncle Raymond. (Sigh) So do I!

Tupaki has decided Grandpa is his new best buddy, so mom said they should rename Tupaki, Velcro. Not sure what that is either, but if it means Tupaki is stuck to grandpa's lap, she is right. I think grandpa reminds Tupaki of Uncle Raymond. They both wore glasses, have gray hair and when grandpa talks he sounds a lot like Uncle Raymond. Sometimes he even smells a little like him.

Glad Tupaki likes his new home. He and grandma go for walks together. Tupaki and grandpa take lots of naps together. They go for rides in the car and that was one of Tupaki’s favorite things to do with Uncle Raymond. I hope they let dogs into heaven because I know Tupaki would like to see Uncle Raymond again some day.

Mom said that heaven would have to have dog’s in it because heaven has to be made up of all the things you like so much in life. I hope so because I want to be with mom. Dad said that his part of heaven will not have any animals, but since he wants to be with mom he guessed he would see us there, too. I know you are just kidding, dad. I like that because I want everybody I love to be with me in heaven. See you later, uncle Raymond.
